Visa CEO, Alfred Kelly, has announced that Visa will not be directly accepting Bitcoin. They do not want to deal with any transactions that involve cryptocurrencies, and prefer fiat currency instead. The main reason why Kelly stated that he is against the idea, is because Bitcoin’s price is always changing. He feels that people want a fair exchange for the products or services they want to buy. Kelly believes that the cryptocurrency is still a commodity that a person can invest in, but it is not ideal for a form of payment. Visa has terminated its business with Wave Crest. Wave Crest is a digital currency payment processing company that is in Gibraltar. Many other digital currency credit card carriers have suffered because of Visa’s dissolution with Wave Crest.
