Gaming company, Nvidia, is limiting graphic card availability to people who aren’t gamers. They also do not want to provide availability to digital asset miners. Nvidia representative claimed that gamers will always be a priority for Nvidia and that they will not stop catering to them. Nvidia wants to ensure that gamers are still having a good experience and have GeForce graphics card availability. Recently, prices of the Nvidia graphics card have gone way up! From April 2017 to now, there have been increases of up to 86%. This has caused a scarcity of the graphic cards and inflation for the company. Nvidia has placed a restriction and will now only be allowing 2 cards sold for each customer. Mining BTC has been complex for miners as of late. Miners used to be able to get more computing power when Bitcoin was first available on the market. Miners used a whopping amount of 36 terawatt hours of energy in 2017. Nvidia will not be joining the digital currency market just yet. Although they have an SKU specialized for coin mining, they have not announced when they would be making their appearance in the global crypto market. They are more about customer satisfaction, but we have a feeling they won’t be able to resist the benefits of this revolution for too long.
